With beauty before me may I walk.

With beauty behind me may I walk.

With beauty below me may I walk.

With beauty above me may I walk.

With beauty all around me may I walk.

The Beauty Way of the Dine’ Nation (The Navajo People) is an affirmation, a mantra, a chant. The passage above is but part of the ‘song’ which itself is part of a ceremonial ritual designed to uplift and heal. We can all use uplifting and healing self talk now and then and this affirmative mantra speaks to that which we all yearn, beauty….

I would just add one more line to this inspiring chant:

With beauty within me may I walk.

beauty way
